(sorry for the lateness.)
Matthew knew that Starshmuck place made decent drinks, even though he considered it way inferior to Tim Horton's one, and also maybe a bit too expensive. He also knew for a fact nobody from the school ever went there, for some odd reasons. He had expected the place to be really popular, what with the brand being famous, but apparently people rarely went out for a coffee, prefering alcoholic beverage or treats like Ice Cream-he was guilty of this one, he remembered a few friendly outing and... dates in that ice cream parlour... He preferred not to think of dates too much, his heart clenched when he did-, which meant that place was good if he wanted to be able to have a good, nice, private talk with his favorite teacher without any distractions or bothering american brother around. It wasn't that he didn't liked Alfred; he just... sometime was too annoying.
Beside he wanted to know why Hayden had left and come back, and he probably would be more comfortable talking here than in his office or the common room. Especially since the place was made to look comfortable, cozy, and friendly.
As he came near the Starshmuck Coffee, he could see Hayden through the window, relieved he wouldn't have to look for him. He never really liked the moment you walked in a place, everyone glancing at you not that discreetely, and the pressure it put on your shoulders when you were looking for someone, not sure they were here. he gave him a little wave before walking in, smiling at him as he stood by his table.
"Hello, Sir Kirkland..."
Maybe should he lose that habit of calling him Sir Kirkland... He just couldn't help it.
